Brian McManimon is the Production Manager, Technical Director, Resident Designer, Producer, and winter play director for the Wellesley High School Performing Arts Department in Wellesley, MA. He primarily manages the production and design aspects for the entire department (Drama, Dance, Music, Special Events) along with teaching Theatrical Production & Design courses to interested students grades 9-12. Over the course of 6 years, Brian has expanded Wellesley High School Tech into an active creative force within the Performing Arts Department that has at times involved 60+ students on a given show where students are given active roles on each show to display their creative and technical skills.
Brian has worked for multiple educational and theatrical organizations including Wellesley High School, Westford Academy Theater Arts, Weston High School, Tyngsboro High School Theater, Pace University's Performing Arts Department, The New Victory Theatre/The New 42nd Street (Production Apprentice), Weston Drama Workshop (Designer/Technician), The Nu-Ance Theater Group (New York City), and Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (Stagehand/Carpenter/Painter). He has also had the opportunity to intern or shadow with numerous designers including Campbell Baird, Howell Binkley, Ryan O'Gara, Graham Kindred, David Margolin Lawson & Justin Couchara.
He is a 2013 graduate from Pace University Performing Arts with a bachelors degree in Technical Theater and will be completing his Masters degree in Theatrical Production from Central Washington University in the spring of 2019. He currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
